ESA's parabolic flight opportunities for university students

The European Space Agency (ESA) is glad to announce that the Fly Your Thesis! programme is back.
This hands-on opportunity allows Master and PhD students from ESA Member and Cooperating States to carry out experiments in microgravity conditions, on parabolic flights, as part of their thesis or research programme.
Teams that are interested in participating in the Fly Your Thesis! programme should submit an experiment proposal by September 21, 2015.

The pre-selected student teams will be invited to a dedicated workshop at ESTEC in December 2015, where up to four teams will be selected to further develop their project and have the chance to operate their experiment during an ESA parabolic flight campaign along with teams of European scientists.

The campaign will take place in Bordeaux, France and it is currently planned to be performed in autumn 2016. Students will accompany their experiment, on-board the Airbus A310 ZERO-G operated by Novespace, for three flights of 30 parabolas each, experiencing about 20 seconds of reduced gravity during each parabola.

The details of this programme can be found on the ESA Education Office
