Graduate Software Engineer - Simpleware

Simpleware has published an opportunity for a recent graduate / junior software engineer.
The company is looking for a talented software engineer to join the dynamic software development team under the auspices of an EU FP7 Marie Curie Initial Training Networks (ITN).
Applicant will design and implement novel image processing and meshing algorithms that will be used by the top universities, research groups and blue-chip companies world-wide.
Simpleware is a privately owned company with its headquarters in Exeter, UK, and a world-wide network of distributors and sales partners. Simpleware is dedicated to providing innovative software to bridge the gap between 3D imaging and CAD and simulation technologies. 
 
Knowledge, experience, skills, and competencies
Principal selection criteria:
- Graduate in Computer Science or Engineering
- Strong knowledge of C++
- Strong mathematics and algorithm development background
- Good English
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative whilst being a team player
- Ability to work in a flexible environment
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Linux would be a plus
- Knowledge of VTK, ITK, wxWidgets, Visual C++ would be very appreciated (ideal candidate)
 
Requirements
Candidates must fulfil the Marie Curie Early Stage Researchers (ESR) eligibility criteria:
- You have been or will be awarded a degree that makes you eligible to study for a PhD. This degree has been awarded between September 2008 and September 2012.
- You have not been resident in the UK for more than 12 months over the last 3 years.*
- You have not been awarded a PhD.
*You can be a UK citizen so long as you have not been resident in the UK for more than two of the last three years.
