New Zealand international doctoral research scholarships

Funded by the New Zealand Government and administered by Education New Zealand, the New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarships (NZIDRS) are a significant educational opportunity. NZIDRS are awarded for a maximum tenure of three years (36 months) in relation to full-time study for a doctoral research degree.
 
The scholarship funding covers:
- full tuition fees and associated student levies;
- annual living allowance (NZ$25,000 per annum);
- annual health insurance allowance (NZ$600);
- book and thesis allowance (NZ$800) – across the 36 months;
- travel allowance (NZ$2,000) – across the 36 months;
- establishment allowance (NZ$500) – once only.
 
Applications must be received by Education New Zealand no later than 5pm (NZ Standard Time) on 15 July each year.
